Charlotte spent the first 5 years of her life as a breeder dog in a commercial breeding establishment. She was rescued by Lucky Star in mid-October and is just learning what life is like as a loved pet. She has already progressed from being very shy and quiet and avoiding being touched to barking with excitement and wiggling with pleasure when she sees her foster family. She can't wait to give them kisses and barks with excitement when they come home. Charlotte is being fostered in Cincinnati, OH.

Charlotte came into rescue being very closely shaved. At her vet exam they also suspected she may have had an allergy that caused some of her hair to fall out. Her hair is slowly growing back in with time and good nutrition. Except for losing a few teeth at her dental exam she is a healthy girl.

Charlotte finally caught on to walking on a leash with much coaching from her foster Mom and neighbors. She races with her 3 cavalier cousins in the yard and loves playing outside. She would love a home with other cavaliers and to have someone home most of the day. Charlotte would do best in a home without young children. They make her very anxious. Charlotte must  have a home with a physically fenced yard
