My name is Buttercup! I am a super sweet Cavalier girl who loves to snuggle up with my foster siblings! When I first came to the rescue, I was very scared of everything and everyone in the house. I warmed up very quickly to my foster siblings and we are often found cuddling on the couch together. 

I can be very timid when eating my food and I will let other dogs eat all my food, so it does work best if I eat by myself in the crate or separate room. 

I love to run around outside so a fenced in yard works best for me! Whenever you want me to come back inside, just say my name and I’ll come back to the door. I do love to be rewarded with a treat when I do my business outside! I am still scared of a leash but we have been working on it, and I think I will get the hang of it soon. 

I am completely crate trained and have had no accidents in my kennel since coming to the rescue. I do have a small bladder though and do need to be taken out every couple hours to prevent any accidents in the house. 

I have recently learned how to use the stairs, jump onto the couch, and play with toys. I also like to sniff the baby in my foster home and I LOVE to steal his pacifier! I don’t like fast movements though, they do make me nervous, so older respectful kids would be best in my forever home. I am very shy at first and it takes me a little bit to warm up, but I am the sweetest girl you’ll ever meet!
