Hi! My name is Macey.  I am a sweet, caring 7 year old tri-colored cavalier looking for my forever home. My foster mom and dad just adore me.  My foster mom wanted me to share with you my "report card".  She is a teacher and thinks I am a star foster!

My foster mom and dad think I am absolutely precious.  I am so soft, caring, loving and sweet.  I tend to be on the submissive side, and will be shy when you first meet me, but give me a day or two and I will be begging for your attention.  I adore spending days on the couch, and nights in a warn snuggly bed next to my foster parents.  My foster mom has woken up to me being nose to nose with her many times. I enjoy doing what a cavalier does best...being a companion.  I am so easy going; men, women, children, other dogs, cats, you name it I am a great with all of them.

I am a petite 13 pounds, and all around pretty small.  I am tri-colored with lots of black freckles.  My foster mom loves to hold my head in her hands and talk sweet to me.  She says I have the perfect sized head.  I have recently had my hair trimmed back because of matting, but I am already enjoying healthy, yummy food and it is starting to grow back quickly.

Although you would never believe it, I am 7 years old.  My FAVORITE thing to do at my foster house is to pounce like a puppy around their fenced in yard.  I just love the freedom.  I figure I am making up for 7 years in a small cage.  I have recently visited the vet and had a hysterectomy and had to have all of my teeth removed.  You will notice in the picture that my tongue hangs out.  I am still getting used to this, it is new to me.  But my foster mom re-assures me that is adds to my "personality" and she couldn't imagine me without that little bit of pink tongue showing.  I haven't let it bother me.  I just need my food watered down a little.  I do enjoy a soft treat once and a while too.  Because I am 7 I am starting to show signs of my age.  My knees aren't great, but the doctor said I just need to keep an eye on them.  I also have a grade 3 heart murmur, but I currently do not need any medication.

I am doing very well with my potty training.  I have not had any accidents in the house, and I get right to work when I go outside. My foster dad said that I am a star on a leash.  I walk so nicely and enjoy the fresh air. I prefer to go potty in my fenced in yard, and save the leash time for sightseeing.  I do well in a kennel during the day, but when you come home I am excited to get out.  I am new to stairs, but have caught on quickly and can go up and down with no help!

I hope you have enjoyed seeing my "report card", I can hardly wait until I have my own new family. My foster parents will miss me very much, but they are excited to see me find my forever home.  Macey is being fostered in Jordan, MN.  For more information -- only after completing an application -- contact gnbbrumm@msn.com .  Please list your location so we can find your application.
