Brook is a young, energetic girl who loves people. She wants to be close to a human’s touch at all times.

   Brook has been in rescue since she was 7 months old. She came from an Amish farm and has had a successful surgery for pulmonary stenosis. She is not on any medication and just needs periotic heart checks – an echocardiogram is due in Sept. 2024.

   Brook gets very excited around food so she is working on learning to wait for her food dish to be put on the floor.  She is very smart and learns quickly.  Her family should continue to work on her training.

   She loves everyone – her foster dog companions, cats, and especially children. She would make an excellent addition to a family with older children. When Brook gets excited and starts running she could knock a young child or older person over. She loves to play in the fenced in yard. Sometimes Brook gets the zoomies and does laps in the yard.

   Brook is housebroken and crate trained . She walks well on a leash and loves car rides. 

   Brook requires a securely fenced yard and another canine companion in the home who shares her energy .  She would do best with  lots of attention and not being left alone for long hours at a time.  We do not approve long distant adoptions or ship dogs.  Please consider your location before applying.
