The Rainbow Bridge

This page is dedicated to all the prescious angels who have gone before us.  Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.... Author unknown...

Dinah
From Jessica: Dinah passed away peacefully in my arms this evening at 5:30. Her heart couldn't go anymore without causing her pain, and the day I met her I promised her she would never hurt or be sad again. She was not with me as long as some of the dogs I have known, but she stole my heart within a few short days. Her little spirit was so full of life and spunk, and she always made me laugh. I'll miss her terribly, but knowing she will never feel pain in that poor little heart of hers is worth it. The time she was here was so special to me and as long as she knows she was loved immensely it's all worth it. Run free my little Dinah-myte. I love you always.

Rylie (formerly Pixie)
Sweet Rylie, Lucky Star Pixie, went to the Rainbow Bridge Monday evening, 9/21/15. Her heart just could not keep up with her desire to keep going, despite her valiant effort. She was 9 years old. Our deepest condolences to the Gates family.

Fiona
Sadly, Fiona went to the bridge today, Sept 23, 2015. RIP sweet girl; you will be sorely missed. Our condolences to her family and our thanks for giving her such love and care.

Casey (LS Colleen)
We adopted Colleen (we changed her name to Casey). We had a great 8 years with her. We lost her to a brain tumor on June 24th. She was the sweetest dog and a vital part of our family. Casey and our Charlie really enjoyed each other’s company. Charlie is lost without her. Thank you Lucky Star for adding a great joy to our lives. The old saying ...Better to have loved and lost than never have loved at all, is certainly true in this case.

Evelyn
July, 2015: RIP Everything I know about patience and unconditional love, I learned from 9-1/2 years with my angel, Evelyn Magnolia. Evelyn passed away this afternoon in my arms. For those of you and your animals who knew and loved her, and there are too many to name, she loved you back tenfold. 7/13/2015: We are so saddened to hear of Evelyn's passing: RIP sweet Evelyn. Her family sent this note about her: Thank you to Lucky star for bringing her, then Dazzle, into my life. She gave me a wonderful life.
